The Wales international was forced to leave Real Madrid’s training session with what appeared to be an ankle injury.
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is not worried about Gareth Bale’s situation after the player left Los Blancos’ session. Bale was seen holding his ankle as he left the training ground at Soldier Field on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old missed big portions of last season due to calf and ankle injuries. The news about the 28-year-old leaving the training session with a possible injury has prompted concern within Real Madrid fans, with the UEFA Super Cup game against Manchester United just around the corner.
However, Zinedine Zidane is confident the injury is nothing major or serious, since Bale has been showing great improvement in his fitness and over all form during the pre-season.
According to Goal, the Frenchman said:
“He looks good to me, little by little,
“He’s had a long injury.
“The pre-season has been very good since the beginning. I’m not worried about his performance, because the whole team has had good moments and not as good moments.”
