Written by Bertel Østergaard. March 28, 2017

None of the two sides can be happy with their recent results. The Russians side lost unexpected their friendly against Ivory Coast, while Belgium failed to maintain their perfect start of their World Cup Qualification campaign.

Romelu Lukaku secured a 1-1 draw with his scoring in the 89’ minute.

Russian boss Stanislav Cherchesov was criticized after their third loss in last four friendlies.

Russia host the World Cup 2018 next year and have great expectations. The Russian side have a decent squad featuring two of the best strikers in the Russian Premier League.

Belgium dominated against Greece but was unable to secure the win. Reports suggest is was a mistake by Belgium boss Roberto Martinez to go with Radja, Nainggolan, Axel Witsel and Marouane Fellaini as the trio in the midfield.
