A clash of civilizations. The two sides will meet twice in a span of just four days
Written by Bertel Østergaard. April 1, 2017
Napoli host Juventus on Sunday, and it will be the first time Gonzalo Higuain returns to Napoli since his €90m move to Juventus last summer.
Almost every Serie A fan are looking forward for this clash. Besides the game being played by no. 3 in the table against no. 1, there is also the story about Higuain. This match is going to be a war between the team who has scored the most goals in the league, and the best organized team in Italy.
Napoli are hunting Roma and their second spot in Serie A which would see them ready for the Champions League group stages next season. A third place will result in a qualifier for the Champions League group stages.
Max Allegri is expected to stick with his successful 4-2-3-1 line-up. Juventus has won eight of nine league games, since the team shifted to this formation and the Torino side has scored 23 goals in 2017. Napoli has only kept two clean sheets in 2017. On the other hand, Napoli has only failed to score three times in this Serie A campaign. So it is hard to believe we won’t see any scorings at the San Paulo Stadium on Sunday.
Since Milik’s injury earlier this season the trio of Insigne, Mertens and Callejon has proven to be deadly.
Keep an eye out for Gonzalo Higuain. Higuain will play in Napoli twice in the span of just four days, and the Argentinian will be on everyone’s lips. It is to believe, that Higuain won’t see a warm welcome back from the crowd in Napoli on Sunday and again on Wednesday.
