Both Dortmund and Monaco has been brilliant in this Champions League campaign. Both clubs suffered defeats in the first leg in the round of 16 but still managed to go through, as Dortmund won against Benfica, while Monaco won against Manchester City.

Dortmund’s last quarter final appearance was in 2013/2014 were they lost to Real Madrid despite coming with a 2-0 lead from their first leg.

Monaco’s last quarter final was in 2014/15 were they lost against Juventus.

This clash will be the first ever meeting between the two clubs in a European competition.

It will prove to be a tricky fixture for both sides, but with Dortmund as slight favorites due to their home form, as they haven’t lost at the Signal Iduna Park this season, while Monaco does not have the best away record in the Champions League. They have lost 3 of their 6 away matches in the Champions League this campaign, including a defeat against Leverkusen in Germany in the group stage.

The clash between the two sides will take place on Tuesday with kick off at 20:45 CET at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund
