Manchester City secured the third place of the Premier League yesterday, as they won 3-1 against West Bromwich.
Agüero didn’t score, but Guardiola approved of his performance anyway, as he stepped up to be a playmaker when David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne were closely marked.
Guardiola said the following to Manchester City’s webpage: “Sergio has the quality to not only score goals, but also create space between the defenders. He has the quality to make the passes as well. I am very very happy for him. He didn’t score but he played brilliantly.”
The Argentinian striker has scored 18 goals in 30 league games this season.
