Chelsea’s £88m bid for Higuain rejected

The Old Lady is not ready to part ways with the striker.

As Chelsea struggle to find a replacement for Diego Costa, they have turned their attention to Serie A attacker Gonzalo Higuain. According to Tuttosport, Juventus have rejected a £88 million bid for the Spaniard and are not considering selling the Argentine forward.

The offer might come as a surprise since Chelsea have not been linked with Higuain before, but his form in Italy has been great for the past few seasons, so an offer for the Argentine does make sense.

Another option for the Blues could be Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund. The Gabon international scored 40 goals in 46 games last season in all competitions and his form has also been outstanding. Not to mention, he would cost much less as Chelsea are rumored to have prepared £65 million for his services.
