Nolito’s City nightmare is close to an end

The player is finally leaving the club for a fee of £8m.

Manchester City forward Nolito is reportedly joining Sevilla for £8m. The 30-year-old is expected to arrive in Spain on Sunday to complete medical ahead of signing a three-year contract with the club. He will be Vitolo’s replacement, who joined Atletico Madrid.

Manchester City have had a number of requests and offers to loan out Nolito but they have been strict with their idea of selling the player. The player joined City last summer for a fee of £13.8m but has completely fallen short of expectations and is certainly not part of Guardiola’s future plans.

Meanwhile City have confirmed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz on a five-year deal. The 19-year-old youngster will be loaned out to Girona.
