The youngster has chosen Italian side Roma, despite City interest.
The youngster Cengiz Under has completed a move to Roma for an initial €13.4m. The 20-year-old was linked with English side Manchester side, but has finally decided he wants to be part of Eusebio Di Francesco’s team. The young player has 4 appearances for Turkey and is deemed a very promising talent.
“I’m delighted to be here and very excited about meeting the fans,” he told the club’s official website.
“My aim is to earn myself a regular starting berth as quickly as possible.”
Cengiz Under is Roma’s fifth pre-season signing following names Hector Moreno, Maxime Gonalons and Juan Jesus.
Roma’s sporting director shared a few words on their latest signing: “We are extremely happy with the arrival of Cengiz, a player with great technical ability,” said Monchi. “We are confident he will quickly adjust to his new surroundings and his quality and talent will be a valuable addition to our squad.
