Tottenham forward Clinton Njie has left the club after failing to win a regular starting spot.
The Cameroon forward has completed a move to French side Marseille. He was loaned out last season as he failed to establish himself within the starting 11 at White Hart Lane. The 23-year-old arrived from Lyon and made only eight appearances as a substitute for Spurs.
On Sunday, Tottenham tweeted: ‘We have reached agreement with @OM-Officiel for the permanent transfer of Clinton Njie. We wish Clinton all the best for the future.’
Njie is the third player to leave White Hart Lane following Kyle Walker, who joined Manchester City, and Federico Fazio. Meanwhile, Spurs have not completed a single transfer this summer as their anxious fans are still waiting for their first signing.
