A pulsating opening of the Barclays Premier League at Emirates

Arsenal clinched the three points against Leicester City in a 7-goal spectacle.

The game kicked off with a strong start for Arsenal as it took them only two minutes to score the first goal in the Premier League 2017-18 campaign. Alexandre Lacazette proved his worth as he was the one to give the Gunners the lead. Just two minutes after, Leicester City responded through Okazaki who put things back to level, with some people claiming the goal should have been disallowed. Even though Arsenal had more possession and controlled the game, The Foxes were far more efficient and they even took the lead in the 29th minute through Jamie Vardy. At the end of the first half, however, Danny Welbeck scored one back for Wenger’s side as both teams headed into the dressing rooms with a result of 2-2.

The second half saw Leicester City take the lead once again through their No.9.

Arsenal did not panic and simply gave it their all to come back into the game as their pressing and attacks got more fierce and fierce. Their strenuous effort finally paid off as substitute Aaron Ramsey managed to find the back of the net and give all the fans at the Emirates Stadium hope, that their beloved club can get out of the game with three points. In the closing minutes of the game fan favourite, Olivier Giroud, was once again the hero for Arsenal as he scored a beautiful header to wrap up the final 4-3 for Arsenal.
