The 17-year-old has opened his account for his new club Flamengo.
Brazilian teenager Vinicius Junior scored his first goal for his new club. The youngster signed a contract with Real Madrid worth €45 million this May and was loaned away to Flamengo until 2019. He has now played his first official game as he gave a glimpse for all Madrid fans of what he can bring to the Bernabéu .
The forward cannot link up with the La Liga side until he has turned 18, but Zidane’s plan is to bring Vinicius around 2019, so that the player gets more experience in first-team football in Brazil.
Speaking to Fox Sports Brasil after the game, the happy youngster said:
“I’m very happy for scoring, but now I have to come back tomorrow and work hard ahead of the next match”,
“I’m going to celebrate, perhaps eating out. But there’s little time for that, tomorrow we have to train again.”
