The Blues received two red cards as the team lost 3-2 against Burnley
Chelsea kicked off their Premier League campaign with a shock 3-2 defeat at home against Burnley, in a game where they played with 9 men.
The Chelsea skipper, Gary Vahill, was sent off after just 14 minutes for a challenge on Steven Defour, and the Blues went to half-time with 3 goals against them. Sam Vokes was the man for Burnley, as he scored 2 of the 3 goals for Burnley.
In the second half, Antonio Conte brought on Alvaro Morata, who scored with a header 10 minutes after he came to the pitch. However, Chelseas hope of a comeback was shattered as Cesc Fabregas was sent off in the 81. minute, as he received his second yellow card of the day.
David Luiz then gave the home crowd their hopes back, as he scored in the 88. minute. However, the Blues were not able to finish it off, and the game ended with a 3-2 defeat.
