The pacey Liverpool forward scored a fabulous goal against Watford on saturday afternoon, which let to Jamie Redknapp to drawing comparisons between Mane and the Arsenal legend.
The former Liverpool midfielder, Jamie Redknapp lavished praise on the Senegalese striker after his goal at Vicarage Road.
Mane, much like last season was the standout player for Liverpool doing the first 45 minutes and put in an amazing shift at the right wing, which he topped of with a stunning goal to bring Liverpool back on level terms around the half hour mark.
The goal was a result of some great teamplay initiated and directed by Sane, who with a great move and run into the box finished it up. Redknapp was quick to analyse the goal and the Sky Sports pundit likened the movement and play of Sane to his friend and sometimes co-pundit, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
The Senegalese striker took the pass from Emre Can with him in his stride and curled one home into the far corner with the inside of his right foot from the left side of the box.
”That’s reminiscent of Thierry Henry,”
”It’s the way he opens his body up and slots it.” Said Redknapp
The game ended 3-3 and was yet another exciting game, which has added to the enthralling start to the Premier League this season.
