The youngster’s behaviour has gotten him into a tricky situation.
Borussia Dortmund have announced that they have suspended the Barcelona target Ousmane Dembélé for an unlimited period of time.
Dembélé was first suspended and fined by the Bundesliga side as he missed a training session amid Barca rumours, and now he has been taken out of the first team until further notice.
“Borussia Dortmund have decided to suspend Ousmane Dembélé from training with the team until further notice,” read a statement on the club’s official website.
“It was jointly decided by Hans-Joachim Watzke, Michael Zorc and Peter Bosz after the first-round victory over 1. FC Rielasingen-Arlen on Saturday evening.
“Our focus is now on preparing the team for their Bundesliga opener against Wolfsburg next weekend.
“Ousmane Dembélé has, of course, the opportunity to train individually, away from the squad.
“Borussia Dortmund will not make any further comment at this stage.”
