The Catalans have reached an agreement with Guangzhou Evergrande as the midfielder sets for a Europe return.
Paulinho has already bid farewell to his team-mates in China ahead of his €40 million switch to Barcelona confirms Goal, and he will be the first signing of the Catalans following Neymar’s departure to Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona were reportedly interested in the services of the midfielder, but they had to step up their bidding game as they saw three offers turned down. Yet, that never stopped Valverde’s side as they kept on their pursuit despite Guangzhou’s desire to hold on to their player.
