Manchester City are set to submit an improved bid to Arsenal for Alexis Sanchez.
The Gunners have made it clear that they are not looking to sell their star man and will try to persuade him to sign a new deal at Emirates.
But Pep Guardiola is not yet ready to give up on bringing his former player to Manchester. For this reason, according to The Mirror, City are prepared to submit a new €80m bid, that should be impossible to dismiss by Arsenal.
Alexis Sanchez’s contract with the Gunners is set to expire next summer, and unless they cash in now or persuade him to sign a new contract, they might lose him for free. Since contract renewal negotiations have not gone according to plans, Arsenal’s management might consider taking the money now.
On the other hand, Arsene Wenger is confident that Sanchez will sign a new deal. He offered the 28-year-old a new contract that would see the Chilean earning €18m per season.
