According to Sky Italia, PSG are planning a double hit on their Ligue 1 rivals.
Reports suggest that the club from the French capital have submitted a €220m bid for Monaco duo Kylian Mbappe and Fabinho. On top of the transfer fee, Lucas Moura would also be included in the deal.
If such a deal would go ahead, the title race in Ligue 1 may already be over, as Fabinho and Mbappe were important pieces in the title winning campaign of Monaco last season and would now strengthen a direct rival.
PSG would be ready to pay €140m + Lucas only for Mbappe, making him the second most expensive player in history. While the Parisians chased Mbappe for a long time, Fabinho emerged as a transfer target for them only recently. The Brazilian midfielder was monitored by Manchester rivals, City and United, but with United’s capture of Nemanja Matic and Gundogan’s return to fitness for City, it now appears that Premier League is off the table for the 23-year-old.
If the deal would go through, PSG would take their summer spending well over €400m, leaving them to find creative ways of dealing with the FFP rules, unless big sales will also occur.
