The fullback is ready to prove himself at a ‘massive club’
Spurs have officially confirmed the transfer of Serge Aurier from Paris Saint-Germain in a £23million deal. Given the situation of the current transfer market, landing Aurier for such a low price is quite the bargain.
The defender’s switch was mainly delayed due to work permit issues, which took some time to resolve.
He has signed a five-year contract and will be wearing the No. 24 shirt at Wembley until the new White Hart Lane is finished.
“This is a huge and exciting opportunity at a massive football club and I am determined to prove myself as a professional both on and off the pitch.” said Aurier to the club’s website.
“This is a fresh start for me and I will do everything to make the Spurs fanbase, which is huge and diverse, proud of me.
“The fans are the most important people at any club and I am looking forward to showing them and everyone at Spurs the real Serge Aurier.”
