The transfer was a long time coming.
Mamadou Sakho has finally completed a switch to Crystal Palace after not being featured in the Reds squad since April last year. He now has ended his link with Liverpool after a £26 million move to Palace in a five-year deal.
The centre-back was waiting on his new club to reach a consensus with Liverpool about the fee as he was announced in the early hours of September 1.
The defender fell out with Liverpool head coach Klopp after breaching club rules three times in a row during a pre-season camp in California.
Not to mention he was having a lengthy battle with a UEFA doping charge that he was later on cleared of, but he was still given a substance without the consent of the Reds’ medical staff.
The end of Sakho came in September when he used Snapchat to go on a rant that pretty much ended any kind of hope for him to remain at Anfield and fight for a spot.
