‘We still have a really good player’ – Klopp on Coutinho.
Liverpool head coach Jürgen Klopp is happy to know that the ‘Magician’ will be coming back to Anfield after the international break. The 25-year-old wanted to leave the Reds and complete a much desired move to Barcelona, but the club from Merseyside insisted otherwise and were adamant he will not be leaving anytime soon.
However, Klopp did not want to get involved with the situation around Ousmane Dembélé and refused to make comparison between the two.
“We have our situation and Dortmund has another,” Klopp told SPORT1 .
“Don’t believe everything in the press or that there are offers here and there and that the minute after the offer has been entered, it should already be over.
“We are not like George Orwell where everybody knows everything immediately. We have exactly the situation we wanted and no other.”
“Dortmund decided [Dembélé] would leave them, so I cannot compare the two situations.
“We still have a really good player in the squad who can play.”
