Ousmane Dembele moved from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona this summer and details of his contract with the Catalans have reportedly been leaked.
German outlet Spiegel claimed that they have received Dembele’s contract from Football Leaks. And judging by the numbers mentioned in the deal, it’s easy to see why the French forward was desperate to move to Barcelona.
According to the report, Dembele currently earns at Barcelona five times more than what he was making at Borussia. While in Dortmund, the 20-year-old was earning €2,4m per season, while his new yearly salary at Camp Nou is reported to be €12m. In addition to the fixed salary, Dembele could also earn up to €3,3m in additional bonuses if Barcelona are to win the treble.
The report also shows that the transfer fee was €105m upfront paid by Barcelona, with another €40m to be paid in add-ons. The add-ons include Barcelona’s obligation to pay Borussia €5m for each of the 25, 50, 75 and 100 matches played for the Catalans.
