The promising central midfielder will snub Barcelona, Juventus and Liverpool to join the German champions.
Leon Goretzka’s contract with Schalke 04 is set to expire next summer and the German International already made it clear that he will not sign a new deal. Ever since the news have emerged about Goretzka’s reluctance to extend his contract, a number of big clubs have been monitoring his situation.
Liverpool, Barcelona and Juventus are among the clubs that are interested in the central midfielder’s signature. However, according to Sky Sport Italy, the 22-year-old has already made up his mind and wants to join Bayern Munich.
The German champions are admirers of Goretzka and are said to have already reached an agreement with the player representatives, so that he will move to Allianz Arena next summer for free, when his contract expires.
An official announcement is expected to be made in January, when the player will be legally free to discuss his situation with any club, as he will enter the last six months of his contract.
