After parting ways with Carlo Ancelotti, Bayern Munich contacted Luis Enrique for their vacant managerial position.
But the former Barcelona manager, who is currently out of contract, has decided to reject the approach, as he already has an agreement in place to join a major club next summer.
According to Don Balon, Luis Enrique has an offer on the table from AC Milan and is thinking of accepting it. The Rossoneri’s management are not satisfied with the work of Vincenzo Montella. The new Chinese owners of the clubs have invested in excess of €200m in transfers this summer and they cannot understand how a team with that much quality available cannot fulfil its potential.
Furthermore, another reason why Luis Enrique rejected joining the German champions is that he did not want to follow in the footsteps of Pep Guardiola again. That is way he has decided to join AC Milan, where he thinks he will have less pressure than he previously had at Barcelona.
