Sergio Aguero has returned to Manchester City training after suffering broken rib in car accident.
The Citizens announced on their website that the Argentinian striker took part in a light training session with the Manchester City players that were not away on international duty, stating that Aguero is “expected to gradually build up his fitness in the coming days as he edges towards a first team return”.
The striker made a quick recovery after having suffered a broken rib in a car accident occurred while he was attending a concert in Amsterdam at the end of September. Initial reports suggested that Aguero would be sidelined for up to four weeks, but the striker was hopeful that he will be able to return to action earlier.
Now, the 29-year-old took his first step towards reintegrating in the first team. However, it is not yet known if Aguero will be able to make a full recovery in time for the Citizen’s match against Stoke City, on Saturday, at the Etihad Stadium.
In the six appearances for Manchester City in this Premier League season, Aguero scored six goals and provided three assists for his teammates, helping his team to the first position in the league standings.
