The language barrier is proving to be a huge issue for the Colombian.
Bayern Munich forward James Rodriguez is in a very complicated position, insists new Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes. The Colombia international has been struggling to settle in at the club due to the language barrier.
Reports in Spain suggest that the player is now looking forward to return back to Spain, taking into consideration the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti.
Heynckes, who has taken over at the Bavarians, admitted that James is having troubles when it comes to communication, but also said he would stand by the 26-year-old and support him all the way.
“James Rodriguez doesn’t speak German. German football is very different to football in South America. It’s a very difficult situation for a young player.” the Bayern boss told the club’s website during his official presentation.
“However, he has to know that he can count on my support and my help because I like players with talent and I believe he has a lot of talent.
“I’ve seen his games for Real Madrid but I don’t know him personally. When they come back [from the international break], I’m going to talk with them and give them some advice.”
