Kaka getting closer to the end of playing career

The Brazilian midfielder is rapidly approaching the end of his playing career.

The 35-year-old spoke about the pains he feels after every match and how his body is not recovering as it used to anymore.

Kaka is the last player to have won the Ballon d’Or before Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi monopolised the award in the last nine years. Currently, the Brazilian plays in Major League Soccer, for Orlando City, and his current contract expires at the end of the season. That could be the moment of retirement for Kaka.

Speaking to Globoesporte, Kaka said: “I don’t find joy in playing football anymore, I feel pain after every match. My body feels it and, at 35 is hard to recover”.  The former AC Milan player has six goals and four assists in the current MLS season.

The former World Cup winner (2002) admits that he would like to follow in the steps of Zinedine Zidane, who enjoys a great managerial career: “I would like to do what he does. He retired, took some time off, saw that he likes to coach and started at a youth level. I could do the same”, Kaka said for Globoesporte.
