The Real Madrid skipper insists there is no chance of dispute on the pitch between him and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Sergio Ramos is certain that Los Blancos will never go down the road that Neymar and Cavani did with Paris Saint-Germain. The PSG duo were seen in a bit of an argument on the pitch, with the Brazilian seemingly not satisfied with Cavani’s unwillingness to give up taking the penalty.
Despite both Ramos and Ronaldo having the permission to take spot-kicks, the Spaniard made it clear that if Cristiano is on the pitch, he will be the one taking penalties period. However, in his absence, the responsibility goes to the club captain.
“Cristiano takes the penalties and if he is not there, I take them.” Ramos told France Football when questioned about the penalty situation at the Bernabeu.
“There is a third person designated before each game. It’s the best way to avoid problems, to have everything agreed and pay attention to the small details.”
When it comes to the PSG incident, the Spanish full-back insisted that the players are mature enough to find a resolution that fits both sides.
“With regards to Neymar and Cavani, two big players, I am sure that will arrive at an agreement.”
