The former English striker has praised the impact of the Egypt international to the Reds.
Mohamed Salah joined Liverpool from Roma during the summer transfer window in a €40m deal and has been looking impressive ever since his arrival. The forward’s incredible showing on the pitch has not gone unnoticed as Michael Owen lauded Salah as a ‘brilliant signing’ for Liverpool.
The Egypt international has scored eight goals and provided two assists in just thirteen games across all competitions. However, Salah has not only been great for Liverpool, but for his country as well. The speedy forward inspired his country to the 2018 World Cup as he scored twice in Egypt’s last qualifier only to send his men to the showcase tournament in Russia for the first time in 28 years.
Speaking to BT Sport regarding the Reds’ forward, Michael Owen stated:
“It’s been a brilliant start. Liverpool are so well blessed. They have pace either side. I can’t believe how many chances he makes.
“He isn’t an unbelievable finisher but he gets so many chances every game, his numbers are totting up.
“He is nearly in double figures already.
“It’s brilliant for a wide man. He already looks a brilliant signing,” Owen finished.
