Valverde encourages goalless Suarez

It’s been a difficult season so far for Luis Suarez as he was able to find the net just three times in 13 matches – but his coach, Ernesto Valverde, is sure that his star player will be back in form soon.

The 30-year old has found the net 124 times so far for Barcelona but he is experiencing a huge crisis right now – but his coach and teammates believe that he will bounce back and be able to score probably even this weekend against Sevilla. He is still considered to be the Barcelona no. 1 striker and he will get a lot of chances to prove himself again.

Ernesto Valverde, the Barcelona coach, spoke about his player as he said, according to ESPN“When success depends on the ball being 10 centimetres more to the right, the question is whether he’s there or not [having chances]. We know that Luis is a goal scorer and it’s about perseverance. He’s insistent and aggressive and he always has chances to score.”

He doesn’t criticize Suarez as he claimed: “The only thing I ask him is that he keeps on going and doesn’t give up. And I don’t think that he will.”

The Spaniard also made a comment about Arda Turan’s future in Barcelona: “I hope he’s motivated and committed to rectifying the situation,” the coach said when asked if he thought Turan wanted to revive his Barcelona career. He has experience, talent, but he’s also injured. So we have to wait for him to have the all clear before talking about the sporting side of things. If he’s fit, he could be an alternative, but we have to wait.”

Barcelona have got a chance to make it 31 points out of a possible 33 in La Liga this season and it’s likely that Suarez will be in the starting eleven again.
