Pereira wants to stay at Valencia

Andreas Pereira says he’s feeling good at Valencia, and doesn’t want to go back to Manchester United in January

The 21-year-old had a lot of opportunities to play in the Red Devils’ pre-season games in America. Thus, Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho was disappointed when the midfielder decided to join Valencia on loan.

The Special One claimed the Devils can decide to call the Brazilian back from Spain in January.

The 21-year-old talent has had a good start to the season at Valencia, as his side are currently second-placed in La Liga.

The Spanish side are only 4 points behind FC Barcelona, and what’s more amazing is that they are 4 points ahead of Real Madrid.

“In my head I want to be here, help Valencia until June. It is the thought with which I came,” Perieria told Super Deportes.

“I know that I have this clause in the assignment contract and now I have to wait to see. But my mind is focused on Valencia and I want to stay here,” he added.

The Brazilian understands his role at the club and knows he needs to develop.

“It is important that I am playing to grow, be better and help Valencia. It would be very difficult to return to United mid-year and continue with the same evolution that I’m having now.”

Pereira’s words clearly came from his heart, as the midfielder refused to rule out a possible extended stay at the Spanish club.

The Brazilian claimed he’s happy where he is, and one of the reasons behind it may be the guaranteed starting role he has in Spain.

“Sure, it’s a very good option for me, it would be positive. I’m happy in Valencia CF,” Pereira concluded.

While Valencia are doing extremely well being second behind Barcelona, the Red Devils are struggling in the Premier League, as their local rivals Manchester City are now 8 points ahead of Mourinho’s side.
