Richarlison has only been with Watford for three months, but he is already attracting a lot of interest from bigger clubs.
Watford’s decision to bring in a player directly from Brazil was seen as a gamble this summer, when they chose to pay €12m to Fluminense for Richarlison. But the Brazilian attacker had no problem adjusting to life in England and the Premier League playing style and has truly impressed since his transfer.
And now, according to the Mirror, Tottenham are monitoring the situation of the player and could put in a bid as early as January. Mauricio Pochettino has had his scouts watch multiple matches of Watford this season and the reports he received are encouraging. Richarlison’s pace, goal threat and versatility are exactly what the Argentinian manager is looking to add to his squad.
Richarlison started 10 matches in the Premier League this season and managed to score four goals for Watford, being one of the most impressive players of Marco Silva. Although he’s only been with the team for a few months, Richarlison integrated right away and adjusted surprisingly well to the demands of the English football.
Although he signed a five-year deal at Vicarage Road this summer, it remains to be seen how long will Richarlison continue with Watford and what his next destination will be, as he looks destined for greater things.
