Mané believes he scored one of his best goals against Spartak Moscow

The Senegal international found the back of the net with a brilliant volley in the Champions League.

Liverpool forward Sadio Mané insists his first goal against Spartak Moscow on Wednesday is certainly one of the best ones he has scored in his career. The winger scored twice during the second half as the Reds from Anfield trashed their opposition with an emphatic 7-0 victory, securing their spot as Group E winners.

Speaking to LFCTV after the game, Mané reflected on his acrobatic volley that certainly was the most impressive goal of the night. “The first goal – one of the best I have scored. Each striker in the world would love to score goals, it is what I wanted to do tonight and I am pleased I am on the scoresheet.”

The Senegal international was rested against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League, but he returned to the starting line-up on Wednesday and insisted he really enjoys being part of the ‘Fab-Four’.

“I am very happy to play alongside these great players, they make it easier for me, I am happy with that. Without the team we are nothing, credit goes to everybody.”

“We played fantastic football, we didn’t concede, we did what we had to do, it is always important to score many goals.

“We won, we are happy. We will try to do our best against Everton, we want to win for the fans.”
