Ronaldo eyeing Champions league trophy

Despite a slow start of the season, the Portuguese is confident his team is capable of adding yet another European silverware to their cabinet.

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has his eyes set on a third consecutive Champions League trophy.

The Portuguese forward, who is currently the tournament’s all-time leading goalscorer, is also the first player to put his name on the scoresheet of every single group stage fixture of the tournament following Madrid’s 3-2 win over Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.

Borja Mayoral and Cristiano Ronaldo made it 2-0 in favour of Los Blancos before Aubameyang’s brace put things back to level at the Bernabéu. However, a late winner by Lucas Vázquez insured that Zidane’s men will end the group stage phase with a win.

Los Blancos will now enter the knockout stage as runners-up in Group H, but that does not concern Cristiano who is eyeing another Champions League trophy.

“Hopefully we can win the Champions League again,” Ronaldo said, according to 90min.

“The important thing was to pass through the group stage.

“Our aim is to win the Champions League.

“I’m very happy, we wanted to finish the group stage well with a victory.” the Portuguese added.
