Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny said that he would love to face one of the English teams in the first round of the knockout stage as his Juventus are currently waiting to see which opponent they will get.

The Poland international has got a lot of experiences with the English football as he used to play for Arsenal and he wants to face one of his old opponents again – Juventus can possible be drawn against Tottenham, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool, so the chance is quite big. Other possible opponents are PSG and Besiktas but the Pole would prefer the English ones.

The former Arsenal player spoke about his wishes for the draw as he said that he would love to come back to England, according to ESPN: “I hope that we draw an English team. I’d really like it if we could win a big game in England. We’re one of the strongest teams in Europe and we don’t fear anyone.”

He also spoke about his side’s situation in the Serie A as they are about to face Inter and AS Roma and these matches will be one of the decisive in the title race: “We’ve two big matches coming up at home against Inter and Roma and these are the games that get you extra motivated and we have to win both of them — we are Juventus.”

In the end, Szczesny added that it will important to remain mistakeless in the defence as it has been the biggest weapon of Juventus in the latest fixtures: “We’re anticipating a fascinating tussle against Inter this Saturday. It will be very difficult, but we’re confident. We haven’t conceded a single goal in our last four games and this is an important platform for us to win matches, as we’ve plenty of firepower up front.”
