Reid adamant Bristol City can surprise everyone

Even though the Championship side will enter the second leg against City with a goal deficit, their midfielder is positive about their chances of reaching the final.

Bristol City midfielder Bobby Reid believes that his team can turn things around in their favour in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Manchester City. Guardiola’s men clinched a victory with a stoppage-time winner from Sergio Agüero as they came back from a 1-0 deficit in the first leg of the competition. Even though the Citizens were the clear favourites, Bristol City once again proved they are capable of going toe to toe with the best in England and Reid is positive that they can be the surprise of the competition.

“I think with the crowd behind us it will be a different atmosphere. It’s a closed-in stadium and the fans are right on top. The fans will be buzzing, right behind us. “ the 24-year-old midfielder told Sky Sports. “We’ll still play with that energy and desire and who knows how it will go?”

When questioned if his side was capable of winning the game at the Etihad, Reid replied: “100 per cent. There’s only one goal in it. 1-0 would be enough.”
