Juventus will be looking to wrap up their fourth consecutive Coppa Italia trophy tonight against a resurgent AC Milan side
The Old Lady have all but clinched the Serie A title after rivals Napoli failed to defeat Torino over the weekend to increase the gap between the two teams to six points with just three matches remaining.
Juventus haven’t had the easiest of runs of late, but they usually do deliver that extra something special in the big games in Italy and in their two meetings against Milan this season they have won each of them.
After his heroics in their 3-1 win over Bologna last Saturday, Douglas Costa may be rewarded by Massimiliano Allegri with a starting spot in the line-up.
The former Milan coach will likely start Juan Cuadrado in the right-back position for the final, although returning forward Mario Mandzukic will only likely be able to make the bench.
Meanwhile, Milan hasn’t won the Coppa Italia since head coach Gennaro Gattuso’s own playing days at the club in 2003.
After a difficult start to the season, the arrival in Gattuso has prompted an upsurge in form for the Rossoneri and the fans are desperate to see the club win their first major trophy since Allegri led them to the Serie A title in 2011.
Unfortunately for Gattuso, Lucas Biglia is a doubt for the final at Rome and so, therefore, Manuel Locatelli may be selected in his place.
Patrick Cutrone, who scored in the 4-1 win against Verona on Saturday, may be chosen to lead the attacking line for Milan.
