Kieran Trippier and Eric Dier are together in the England squad for the World Cup that will kick off tomorrow in Russia with team-mates Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Danny Rose.
Eric who has played in 99 of Tottenham’s last 105 matches in the Premier League while starting 95 is a model of consistency as his form in that time has been rewarded with 26 England caps and he proudly captained the Three Lions in high-profile friendlies against Germany, Brazil and Italy.
The 27-year-old right-back Kieran, who played a personal best 35 times for Tottenham in 2017-18, is impressed by Eric’s numbers tells club’s website how he sees Eric.
“That consistency shows how professional Eric is, especially playing at this level,” he said.
“To play that amount of games you need to look after yourself and I see that every day with Eric. He’s a top professional and of course, he’s a quality footballer as well.
“He’s still at such a young age as well and to have captained England already says it all. I’m really happy to have met him and to have played alongside him.”
