Liverpool finished the 2016-17 season with a convincing victory over Sydney FC today.

The game finished 3-0 and was played in front of 72,892 people at ANZ Stadium.

All of the goals came in the first half from Daniel Sturridge, Alberto Moreno and Roberto Firmino.

Liverpool made the game even more entertaining by including the club legends – Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Steve McManaman and Daniel Agger, as every one of them appeared in the game for 45 minutes.

Liverpool was very close to a great start when Gerrard received a pass from Firmino and found himself in a shooting position, but unusually for him, he sent the ball well over the bar.

Liverpool fans didn’t wait too much for the first goal. In the 8th minute, Sturridge found the net with a nice finish.

Then the Reds doubled their lead in the 18th minute as Moreno received a through ball, followed by a strong shot with his favored left foot.

The 3rd goal came from Firmino, as he received a cross from Sturridge and put the ball in from a close range.

The second half continued with domination from Liverpool, who were the ones creating regular chances.
