United have cooled down their interest in Antoine Griezmann, leaving them with other alternatives.

It seems that Manchester United have cooled down their interest in Antoine Griezmann, also due to Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban. It leaves United in a situation where they will have to search for another attacker, as they are left weakened in that position. Here goes 5 alternatives to the French international.

Romelu Lukaku: He is expected to leave Everton and Goodison Park. Lukaku left Chelsea with Jose Mourinho as manager, and has since that developed to one of the best strikers in the Premier League. Surely it will not be cheap, and reports say it could be a record-breaking 100£m deal to secure the Belgian bomber.

Alvaro Morata: He could reunite with Jose Mourinho, the man who gave Morata his debut back in 2010 – and just like Lukaku, he has developed to one of Europe’s deadliest strikers. Alvaro Morata is, despite his goal scoring, playing as second fiddle to Karim Benzema, which could be one reason to move on in this transfer window?

Andrea Belotti: United have already declared their interest in Andrea Belotti who scored incredible 26 goals in 34 for Torino in the Serie A. Reports say that Torino want stunning £85m for the striker, a price tag that could be a stop block in a possible transfer.

Harry Kane: Could the golden boot winner be on the move? Maybe unlikely, but crazy things seem to happen in the world of football. Surely it would need a record fee to sign Harry Kane; a young, English striker with crazy amount of goals in his boots. Highly unlikely, but could just be the man for United.

Alexandre Lacazette: He will move on from Lyon this transfer window, that’s one thing for sure. But where will the £50m bomber end? With 37 goals this season Lacazette is one of Europe’s hottest players, and Manchester United could need a man just like him.

Manchester United are left with a number of options in this transfer window, and time will show who the next top striker at Old Trafford will be.
