Chelsea winger Willian admitted that he does not want to leave Stamford Bridge in January, and said he loves the Blues with all his heart

Despite Chelsea’s chances to win the title are fading rapidly, the 29-year-old Brazil international has claimed he imagines his future at Stamford Bridge, amid rumours that he could leave this winter.

The Brazilian attacker earned himself a return to Antonio Conte’s starting XI after a nice goal against Huddersfield Town, as Chelsea went on to beat them 3-1 on Tuesday.

That victory was a much-needed one for the Blues, after a surprising 1-0 loss to West Ham during last Saturday’s London derby. Many felt that after that loss, it was all over for Chelsea. Even supporters claimed they might not have a shot at the title anymore, and Conte needed to change his tactics and his line-up.

However, the loss to West Ham wasn’t the only reason behind Willian getting a chance to prove himself again to the Italian manager. Alvaro Morata picked up a back injury which forced him to miss the fixture at the John Smith’s Stadium, clearing the way for the Brazilian in the first XI.

Willian has been out of the starting line-up since last October, when Antonio Conte decided it was time for a change in the system, and started using a 3-4-3 formation, which then led to the Blues finding their form on their way to becoming champions. And despite not getting many chances so far, the Brazilian stays loyal to his side.

“I am always happy here at Chelsea, I really like this club a lot with my heart, so I am very happy here,” Willian told reporters.

The Brazilian admitted he doesn’t want to depart during the next transfer window: I hope that I won’t leave in January. I am happy here and the fans can be calm, I am a Chelsea player.”
