The Spaniard is adamant that sensational Lingard can get even better.

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has praised his team-mate Jesse Lingard for his recent heroics, but also urged the 25-year-old he can improve even more.

The England international has been tremendous for Mourinho’s side, earning a lot of praise for his goalscoring ability. Lingard found the back of the net with yet another spectacular strike in United’s 2-0 FA Cup victory over Derby County on Friday, taking his tally to 11 for the 2017-18 campaign. A number he managed to achieve across 83 appearances for the club prior to this season.

Lingard has become a vital part of Manchester United’s squad and his team-mate Herrera is expecting even more from the Englishman.

“His goal was amazing. It was incredible. I have already said it but he never gives up,” the Spaniard told reporters as quoted by Goal.

“His movement is good and he shoots very well with both feet and when you keep trying and are optimistic with yourself, and you try and try and try, sooner or later you get the result and the result was another fantastic goal.

“He wants to improve and become a better player and you can see that in every training session. He’s showing that in games too. He is in fantastic form and can get better.”
