The Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford who missed an open training session with a knock, but fears he could miss the tournament have assured fans he is fit enough to play the World Cup tournament.

The 20-year-old Manchester United forward is currently in Russia with the England squad ahead of their World Cup campaign. However, there were fears the 20-year-old could be forced to miss some or all of the opening group games with an injury. He was seen hobbling out of a training session in Repino, but he has since allayed those fears.

“Thanks for the messages I’ve been getting,” he Tweeted to his 1.13 million followers.

“Picked up a slight niggle but nothing to worry about.”

The starlet lit up the Three Lions’ last game against Costa Rica by scoring an absolute belter and looking to take players on at any possible opportunity.

England begin their World Cup campaign against Tunisia in Volgograd on June 18. They face Panama on June 24 before a potential top-of-the-table clash with Belgium on June 24.
