Zlatan Ibrahimovic has assured Sweden that there will be no pressure on them at the World Cup in his own unique way by telling the national side to have fun as without him there are no expectations to win

After proving his fitness at LA Galaxy this year, Ibrahimovic fueled rumours hinting at his possible participation for the upcoming World Cup.

But the 36-year-old’s name was included in Sweden’s final World Cup squad with Ibrahimovic later revealing his partnership with Visa for the tournament to promote cardless payment systems.

Speaking about Sweden’s World Cup prospects, the one and only assured the country that there will no pressure on them at Russia.

“I think Sweden, they have less pressure when I’m not there, because when I’m there we’re supposed to win everything,” said Ibrahimovic, according to the Daily Mail.

“Just enjoy. No pressure, because I’m not there.”

The latter is something that Ibrahimovic feels will be difficult for Sweden to overcome.

“Germany is the Deutsche-machine. You know they will do good, and they always do good,” Ibrahimovic said.

“And I always say a good team doesn’t have 11 players, they have 22 fantastic players. With Germany, it’s not like you have a star; I think the team is the star, and that’s why they’re so strong.’

The Swede added that Brazil “will do something out of the limits” to bounce back from their 7-1 humiliation against Germany four years ago on their home soil in the World Cup semi-finals.
