during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia group E match between Brazil and Costa Rica at Saint Petersburg Stadium on June 22, 2018 in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil star Neymar has revealed why he was full of tears after scoring a late goal that gave Brazil’s World Cup 2018 win against Costa Rica.

The forward collapsed to the ground and burst out crying after his side’s 2-0 victory on Friday. Neymar flattered to deceive in Brazil’s 1-1 draw with Switzerland in their campaign opener last week but he scored in injury-time to open his account against Costa Rica.

There was no apparent reason why Neymar was so emotional but the Brazilian has cleared up his actions on Instagram.

‘Not everyone knows what I’ve come through to get here,’ said Neymar.

‘The cry is joy, overcoming. In my life things have never been easy, would not be now right! ‘The dream continues, not dream, OBJECTIVE! Congratulations on the match.’

Brazil now need a draw in their final game against Serbia to ensure their passage through to the knockout stages. Tite’s men are currently top of their group and would face the runners-up of Group B, which is currently Portugal.
