England captain Harry Kane took his reputation to a new level after he scored two goals against Tunisia and is currently without peer as a Premier League goalscorer and that includes Sergio Aguero.

Manchester City star Kyle Walker, who played with him at Tottenham, said that he is the best finisher he has played with – although Aguero comes close.

“I’ve played with Aitch since he was 15,” said Walker via Manchester Evening News, who has had one season playing alongside Kun.

“I remember he used to come up for first-team training at Tottenham sometimes, then you wouldn’t see him for a couple of weeks, and he’s always been a finisher.

“Have I played with anyone like him? Probably Kun Aguero comes close.

“Harry is that good. You put him in the box and he’s deadly, as he has proved, season in and season out for the last three years now.”

The stats back up Walker’s claim, with Kane averaging 0.76 goals a game in the last three seasons, marginally ahead of Aguero with 0.71.

But, of course, Aguero has been scoring at that level for far longer than Kane, and his overall goalscoring ratio is better, at 0.68 a game to 0.65.
