As the semifinal clash between England and Croatia edges closer in Moscow, former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp says Three Lions talisman Harry Kane’s achievements on the biggest stage has surprised him.

“I never saw him becoming the best center-forward in the world and he has managed to achieve that,” Redknapp said in Dublin according to irishexaminer.

The former West Ham boss clarified his statement though adding that he isn’t saying the player is better than Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi but unlike the two he’s an out and out striker who has eclipsed the rest.

“People should get this right, I’m saying best center-forward, not the best player, as an out and out striker there’s no one in the world you’ll swap him with.”

The Tottenham striker has taken the world by storm at the world cup where he presently sits atop the top scorers’ chart with six goals to his name.
