While Brazil were unable to win the World Cup this summer, it appears that Neymar has found another way to win big – by becoming the most imitated player of the tournament in the now famous “Neymar Challenge”

The World Cup is the most prestigious event in any footballer’s career and it offers them the chance of becoming a true great by leading their country to lift the famous trophy.

Neymar, who has longed to become a true legend himself, had hoped that winning the World Cup with Brazil this summer would see him finally overtake both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to win the highly-coveted Ballon d’Or award.

But it was sadly not to be for the Paris Saint-Germain forward following Brazil’s elimination at the hands of Belgium last Friday in a 2-1 defeat.

But even so, Neymar has secured his place on the world stage with the hammy way he fell to the ground and rolled around at Russia after he spent nearly 14 minutes laying on the pitch.

As such the “Neymar challenge” has now come about and has seen people emulating the player across the world.
