Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko is closing in on a move to Italian side AC Milan, according to Daily Mail.
The midfielder is expected to join the San Siro club on a one-year loan deal with an option to make permanent for £35.5million. Bakayoko moved to Chelsea last summer from AS Monaco after an impressive 2016-17 helping the club to the Lihue 1 title.
The 23-year-old who was voted into the UEFA Champions League team of the season for the 2016-17 campaign has struggled to make any form of impact since moving to Stamford Bridge.
Bakayoko was left out of the Chelsea match day squad for their 3-0 opening day victory Huddersfield Town after being informed my new manager Maurizio Sarri he’s surplus to requirements. The player is set for a medical in Milan on Monday before officially signing for the Rossoneri.
Following a largely unimpressive season, the tough-tackling midfielder missed out on France’s World Cup squad to the just concluded FIFA World Cup in Russia where Les Bleus became champions for the second time in their history.
