1.- Alfredo di Stefano.
Back in the days when Don Santiago Bernabeu owned Real Madrid and started the initiative of the first ever European Cup tournament, he had the idea of signing a franchise player who would change the club’s history forever. Alfredo di Stefano was a proved talent and the best player of his generation who came to Real Madrid to revolutionize football. Before Pele came to leave everyone in awe, there was Alfredo di Stefano who was born in Argentina and first was going to sign for FC Barcelona but Santiago Bernabeu beat the Catalan club to the punch. The Argentine player marked an era in Spanish football and Europe, he won the first five European Cups in history playing for Los Blancos and forming a dynasty that still keeps this club as the most successful in football history.

2.- Cristiano Ronaldo.
Don Alfredo won five European Cups with Real Madrid and scored a ton of goals for Los Blancos, his record was later beaten by Raul Gonzalez Blanco. But this record didn’t last because Cristiano Ronaldo had arrived and was scoring more than a goal per match since day one, the Portuguese forward never slowed his pace and became the club’s all-time top scorer in a record nine seasons. Collectively he won four Champions League trophies in the last five years and then left searching for new challenges as a professional, but the mark he left as a Real Madrid player will be remembered as one of the most glorious ones in the club’s long history. Ronaldo already is one of the best players in football history, thanks to everything he did wearing a Real Madrid shirt. His €93 million price tag quickly became a true bargain for the club, nobody even cares how expensive he was now.

As a player, ‘Zizou’ managed to become the most expensive player at the time after Florentino Perez paid Juventus a record €75 million. The Frenchman was able to pay back his price tag just a year after, by winning the club’s ninth European Cup in history with a mythical volley goal scored by him in the final against Bayer Leverkusen played in Glasgow. Then as a manager, Zidane kept his winning streak by winning a record three consecutive Champions League trophies during his first three seasons with Real Madrid.
