Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel has reiterated that Adrien Rabiot remains crucial to his plans, despite his future still being clouded in severe doubt
The French midfielder was a subject of interest for Barcelona and Juventus in the recent summer transfer window.
But Rabiot remains a PSG player for now, albeit with under 12 months remaining on his existing contract.
Although Tuchel has no plans on allowing the 23-year-old to leave the Parc Des Princes and intends to continue using him.
“I love working with Rabiot,” Tuchel told RMC.
“I really like Adrien, he had a difficult situation when he voluntarily missed the World Cup, but his effort with the team has been maximum, he has not missed any training.
“He can be adapted to any system and if he is physically well he is essential for our approach.
“He has great potential and is a player trained in the club. It is very important to have footballers of this nature.”
Bayern Munich and Chelsea are also reportedly monitoring Rabiot’s situation at PSG.
